Job Summary

The Area Supervisor serves as a liaison between Staff Pro associates placed to work, Staff Pro internal team members and client hotels. The Area Supervisor must display an empathetic demeanor and possess effective communication skills to foster professional relationships with the client and Staff Pro employees. The Area Supervisor is responsible for recruiting, screening, hiring, timekeeping, supervising, assisting in the training and managing the personnel in the assigned accounts.

Responsibilities and Duties

Client Account Management

  • Serve as liaison between Staff Pro/client and associates; establishes the foundation for a trusting, successful and long-lasting partnership.
  • Understand assigned property expectations about open positions. Contact customers daily and ensure their staffing needs are achieved.
  • Continuously grow accounts assigned through deep and wide opportunities, uncovering sales opportunities through relationship building with hotel leaders.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings and assist in translations when required (minimum 3 per week).
  • Coordinate with the hotel for a weekly schedule.
  • Ensure daily staffing needs are met, including covering call-offs and making schedule changes if necessary.
  • Perform weekly room inspections (minimum of two 2-hour slots of room inspections) while staying on top of employee development (coaching and counseling) / performance.
  • Be available to team members and hotel managers 24/7. Internal team members and Clients may need to reach out to you at any given time for emergencies.
  • Fill all the requested positions from our clients in a timely manner. We are a staffing company - our service is providing employees for difficult to fill positions; we need to execute in a timely manner (within 3 days).

Payroll

  • Review of Time labor-management daily to ensure accuracy in payroll.
  • Complete daily activity reports and administrative work related to hiring, tracking hours, payroll while ensuring KPI?s are met.

Recruiting, Hiring, and Onboarding

  • Learn and understand the market assignment, connect with local groups to enhance sourcing opportunities and market our brand as a reliable means of employment within the communities we serve.
  • Every new employee must receive an orientation course "Job Realistic Preview" Hotel Specific Hiring Sheet (property specific and safety documents).
  • Make sure all employees meet contractual conditions while abiding by all Federal and State regulations
  • All employees complete the hotel required hiring documents.
  • Schedule onboarding/orientation of new employees while ensuring employees feel welcome and are engaged throughout their training. Address any concerns immediately, providing a swift resolution.
  • Develop a recruiting network of multiple sources with the assistance of Area Manager.
  • Maintain Retention rate above 90% - Job Specific Match.
  • Ensure Necessary information- orders- documents are completed for corporate/third party software.

Reporting

  • Complete daily activity reports and track all pertinent issues or conversations.
  • Weekly Distribution reports
  • Active employee rosters are updated weekly
  • Candidate rosters are updated weekly

Associate management

  • Address all employee concerns within 12 hours which include and is not limited to: Workers Comp, Payroll, Performance, Conduct....
  • Ability to provide effective leadership to our employees according to Staff Pro policies. Communicate verbally (in person), by phone or in writing in an effective/professional manner. Ability to listen and empathize with team members and assist in their personal and professional development.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be Bilingual English and Spanish - Ability to write, read and understand. Ability to translate written and oral communications effectively. A second language in lieu of Spanish may be considered.
  • High school Graduate, College Preferred
  • Staffing experience preferred
  • Hospitality experience - Housekeeping/supervisory preferred
  • Computer skills, MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Time Management Skills and ability to work efficiently under minimum supervision
